 ¨ Children may not attend with the following conditions:

Oral temperature above 100 degrees; vomiting or diarrhea (should be free of these symptoms 24 hours before returning to school) Persistent earache, running ear, coughing, sore throat. Symptoms related to communicable diseases (skin rashes, redness of eyes, swollen glands, etc.)

¨ Should your child become ill during the day, the office will call a parent to make immediate arrangements for the child to be picked up.

¨ The childcare center reserves the right to request the child be taken to a doctor if a contagious condition is suspected.

¨ Please notify the center when your child is ill.  We are concerned about your child and desire to be kept informed about his/her physical well-being.

¨ All medication (prescription and/or over the counter) must be transported to and from school by an adult.  Please complete a Medication Form in the office.   Please do not leave medicine in a child’s cubby. All medicines given must be in original pharmacist’s containers and have the doctor’s instructions, prescription number, child’s name, date filled, and directions for use. Over-the-counter medication may be given for 3 days without a prescription.  If over-the-counter medication needs to be given longer, a prescription is needed.  The prescription may be faxed (number 831-6231).  Over-the-counter medication will not be given in excess of the amounts indicated on the medicine container.
